Message from: anon (2007-06-11 00:00:00)
just been looking at all these messages after Syvie Dexter has just spoken to me on the phone.
what on earth is all of this about. She has have had a lot of people telling her that Nite Curfew is splitting up and that also what I have read about me sacking them from the band. What drivel this all is. Check abouve to see what I have written under who cares , then ckeck out the e-mail adress. Just to show you how easy it is for people to write on sites whatever they want. Cut and paste other peoples e-mail adresses. I have nothing to do with other peoples actions please call me on 01553 762660

it''s now being conciderd that Rob Woodhouse does not have a right to use the name nitecurfew.
He doesn''t concider eitherway
that the band sould still be called nitecurfew. Only that the work load that is set out between now and the end of 07 will be honoured despite line up changes. Sylvie and Joni have gone, in pursuit of their Duo work. And it was this that brought on their departure.
cancelling nite curfew band work to follow a greater profit.
Rob Woodhouse Arranged 85% of the work. And so is his duty to all to continue. Also Daniel Coyle & Jax are still in the line up. Jax will take the lead vocal & new boy Mal Saunders will provide guitar. Rob worked in his own band prior to all this for 15 years, it may even be conciderd to refer to THE BACKBEATS it useing the nitecurfew title is a problem.

Ok thats fine just let us know a time and joni will sort it.

You can blame me for the breakup of the band if you wish but i''m afraid not only my was my back causing me problems this year but joni realised without me subsidizing the fuel he was gigging for little or nothing.

They were both happy to continue playing with you until the end of the year as they told you. With all that was going on in your life neither of then wanted to make more problems for you wether you believe that or not.

Joni/sylvi can make their own decisions on what they want to do in the future and that has nothing to do with me.

The fact that they both wanted to earn a bit of extra cash on Sundays and midweek doing their duo work would not have affected the band.

At the end of the day the band should be fun and the money a bonus for everyone including joni

I agree with Donna. Some Landlords take the "lord " bit
rather too far sometimes. I think what they need to remember is that they have only the one pub, and some are only a year away from bankrupcy. However bands have millions of pubs to perform in.

I would like to say that here at the Norfolk Gig Guide we remain impartial to all the views and arguments on this board. I'd also like to point out that the message board logs IP addresses, browser and ISP details. These can also be cross-referenced with the details logged by the "Site Meter" at the bottom of the left hand column (click it and find out how detailed it is). Don't worry, your privacy is secure, we don't know who people are but we can tell when he same person leaves numerous messages under false names ;-) and it's also enough information for any official authority to approach the relevant ISP to dig in their records ( such at BT Internet ) and pin point exactly who has been abusing this message board. The recent Night Curfew / Haddiscoe Crown incident needs to be carried out between the relevant parties and we won't get involved but should one of the sides of the argument choose to take it further we would be forced to hand over all the logged details. Sorry folks, it's for everybody's benefit in the end. ( See 'How private is information I leave on the message board?' in the FAQ section ).

I agree, Jon. I must admit, though, we have played tuns of gigs and this has only happened to us twice. One venue paid us but wouldn''t have us back due to "not enough people in his pub" (not our fault!) and the other venue tried it on by paying us less - it didn''t work though as I stood my ground with them! Ha ha.

in response to all weird emails concerning myself and my pub.i think you will find all emails will be conected to the band.they didnt play all night and they were unprofessional from the minute they arived(bloking emergency exits with kit).not playing backing music not talking to me.also threatning to damage cars on the car park.not the sort of band i would like to play in my venue.we do not have a problem with paying professional bands ask, sam sillett, cory lewis, coupe de ville, leon, stone pony, cold played, jon quinn, etc 15 years in this buisiness i think i have had a problem only wife just laughed at the alegations of me fancing there lead singer as i did.sorry to bore all the people who read proper messages and dont use this service to slander people and try to mislead people.i think this has happened to save there bookings in case i wrote the truth about there short but kareoke performance.this i didnt have time to do but now have had to find.please send the solicitors letter i will gladley deal with it, what ever name or email address you are using today.this will be my last words on the mater.sorry for boring genuine messengers.
