Otters Pocket is a Halesworth-based, six-piece soul and northern soul covers band. The band is made up of Suffolk-based creatives – musicians, actors and singers – and it now has a great following around East Anglia, with recent gigs including a lively show at Southwold Arts Centre and Ness Fest 2021. The lead singer is Suffolk-born Steve "Tuffy" Foster, who is always the life and soul of any party and band! The rest of the band is made up of Sally Blouet (saxophone, clarinet and vocals), Marie Smith (lead, backing vocals and tambourine), Andy Candler (lead guitar), Val Tolhurst (bass) and Pete Mabbs (drums).

​Otters Pocket is always adding to its repertoire and part of its philosophy is to embrace and combine new and old music, from Hit the Road Jack to No Surprises, from Valerie to I Thank You, I Feel Good, Proud Mary, Car Wash, Treat Her Right, Do I Love You (Indeed I Do), You Can Leave Your Hat On and Le Freak. As Northern Soul is having a resurgence in popularity the band is really embracing this genre and some of the Northern Soul songs it plays are amongst the most popular and regularly requested.
