Avarice brought the house down at the end of our community coronation celebration. They got the entire community dancing and singing along to rock classics - no mean feat, when the audience ranged from 9 to 90! Great energy, brilliant sound and talented players. Avarice are a highly experienced covers duo, playing a wide selection of rock, pop and party classics. Having blast onto the Surrey scene in 2008, Avarice quickly became one of the most sought-after bands on the local circuit, with a non-stop schedule. A move to East Anglia in 2021 provided a change of scenery and Avarice have continued to gain popularity in their new location and now have over 900 gigs under their belt, with performances currently split between East Anglia and long-standing venues still in Surrey.



With an extremely varied repertoire, played to high quality, custom-made backing tracks, accompanied by live lead guitar, live bass and two live vocals, Avarice are highly adaptable. They are equally at home playing a set of classic dancefloor fillers (eg Bryan Adams, B52's, Peter Andre, Neil Diamond, Bon Jovi, Kings of Leon, Gloria Gaynor, Katy Perry etc) as they are playing a more alternative/hard rock set (eg Paramore, Offspring, Iron Maiden, Skid Row, Dio, Metallica, Pretty Reckless, My Chemical Romance, Rancid etc). Each set list is tailor-made according to the venue and occasion, to ensure they have exactly the right performance for every event.



Fully equipped with their own PA and lighting rig, as well as a venue-friendly fog machine and star cloth backdrop, Avarice create the perfect atmosphere every time. They also hold Public Liability Insurance, so are fully covered in the unlikely event of any 'oops moments'!

Jason has been playing in bands for over 30 years. He has various accolades, including being part of award-winning band Shooter, who were the premier band in the French Alps for three years running. He has also been a support act for Jools Holland. Jason is a very accomplished and flamboyant showman, with a vast array of tricks up his sleeve to wow his audience! He also shares some of the lead vocal duties with Becky.

Becky is a versatile and experienced vocalist, having undertaken several years of professional coaching in classical and rock styles. Becky has over 25 years experience of singing in public and has won awards at singing festivals and competitions. She also enjoys playing bass, and does so on much of the Avarice set.
