Since 2010, The Vagaband have amassed a respectful following across the UK festival scene and beyond. Appearances include Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Croissant Neuf & Maverick Festival (headline spot two years running).



The Vagaband�s strength as a live force is undisputed. While able to produce original material with depth and beauty on record, onstage the band�s personality comes to the fore. Their energy, collective sense of humour and a playful ability to command the stage makes for a show which never fails to ignite an audience - the result of a well-oiled touring act who cut their teeth during early years as a streetband.



Debut Album 'Town & Country'



Town & Country is the debut album by The Vagaband and released on the band�s own label �Eggsong Recordings� September 3rd 2012.



Town & Country is a work of quality crafted songwriting whose discipline belongs to another era. The songs of Jos� McGill and Greg Cook take the listener from Beatles� inspired ragtime, through the horn-driven soundtrack of New Orleans and on to the open landscape of reflective Americana. There is however an underlying Celtic-Britishness everpresent to the sound.



Refreshingly, the band do not apologise for taking detours into the realms of playfulness and humour, (specifically with �Tripping On Cheese� and �My Maria�).
