Voodoo Hand
Voodoo Hand are a three-piece rock and blues band made up from members of previously successful local bands.
Jon Peach (vocals and solo guitar), Arron Clarke (bass and backing vocals) and Justin Peach (drums and backing vocals) got together when they realised they had the same passion for playing dynamic music with a raw and raunchy edge.
Despite the bands relatively young age they are no strangers to performing live and making a name for themselves, collectively the members of Voodoo Hand have played at over 100 of the areas best-loved venues and in a previous carnation received some great reviews including:
“One of East Anglia’s hottest blues bands.”
The EDP
I love the way this band is just raw rock-n-roll energy.
No fancy-shmancy studio effects, strings, etc. It’s just plug-in-and-go simplicity drawing its strength from the attitude.
Reminds me a lot of The Who.
Pete Zion
North Carolina
One of the best local bands in terms of musicianship and originality.
Tommy Rock
The bands original material is inspired by artists ranging from John Lee Hooker to Pink Floyd, the band have had their original material played on radio stations both in the UK and in the USA, below is a review written by one of the bands American fans of original track “She’s My Girl” :
I'm gonna start off by saying the production on this one is so authentic I'd swear this was recorded in 1967. The Standells, The Litter, MC5.... and even some more current comparisons: Jet, The Hives... it's not just about the production.... this tune has everything, dry, exceptionally played guitar riffage. and nice upfront vocals with harmonies.
Dave Davies would have a ball with this one.
Audiopathic
Massachusetts
As well as playing some classic covers by bands like The Doors, The Who, The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix, the band will be introducing their audiences to some old style blues played hard and heavy.
