Bill Vine is a Norwich-based composer and multi-disciplinary artist whose work blends experimental music, field recordings, and cultural heritage. He explores the relationship between acoustic and electronic sound, with recent projects including Turbulent Flow, a clarinet quintet inspired by wind energy, and a series of compositions setting 16th-century Occitan sonnets. His music has been performed by the Morse Ensemble and celebrated French countertenor Paulin Bündgen amongst others. In 2025 he was commissioned to write a new piece by and for Gavin Bryars, to be played by his Gavin Bryars Ensemble — the first time the group has performed a composition by another composer.
