Zarah Jones

R'n'B, Dance, Hip-Hop, Drum n Base

Biography

Zarah has been singing and entertaining since she was able to talk and walk.

In her early years of performing she attended The Theatre Royal school for performing arts and featured in a number of small scale to mass productions of Plays on many stages, including The Theatre Royal and Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich.

Although a delight to see acting she soon found her calling in music and enjoyed every "Musical" production that was showcased, so much, she was soon entering singing comps all over the county or any open mic she could get her hands on.

Her first big win came when she entered Mall stars 2007. At this time Zarah had been singing for the best part of 12 years but the benefits and opportunities that came after winning The Mall Stars had a massive impact on the severity of her then growing career in music.

She recived vocal coaching from Miss Elli Chapman who has worked alongside Jules Holland and was classically trained herself. She was also introduced into a recording studio environment and picked up very quickly the Engineering that was involved in recording and became a usual face to see around Future Projects, recording new things and trying out different ways to make the track she'd be working on stand out.

Zarah soon hooked up with Anti-Social Records and did various projects with them and it wasn't too long after that she met Take Offence Productions at a The Talk, Norwich, and was asked to write and record a chorus for a track to then be filmed and broadcast on national TV (Know your Mark 2009, reached No.6 on the urban countdown on A.K.A).

Since then she has worked with many faces and has wrote a 20 track album with Case, toured various places, performed her works in progress (some collabs from herself and Bladerunner, lil Neme, J Hurley, Venom, Flat T, Krissi B to name a few) in many nightclubs, festivals all over the country and has embarked on the biggest project of her career to date, the all important SOLO Music Video to her beautifully titled track "Twisted Elegance" was released in 2012.

working alongside Ray Keith, she ventured into deeper waters and became the lead Vocalist for Live Drum N Bass Group "The Renegade feat Ray Keith" and could be seen all over the country.

Breaking away and finally settling into her own groove, Zarah's debut solo album "Creative Control" has been written over the last 2 years and been engineered by Zarah herself and Co Produced with an amazing line up of talent from Dennis G to Flat-T to Trix to the US The Outlawz.
